We are an accredited Local Enterprise Agency providing advice and support to people wanting to start their own business or social enterprise in Northamptonshire.  ESN runs local economic regeneration projects including Local Alchemy and Enterprising Communities.  We are based in Northampton and also have an office in Kingswood, Corby.

History

The Northamptonshire CDA Limited (NCDA) was set up in 1983 to support the development of co-operatives in the county and has been successful in establishing many co-operatives over the years.  In recent years we have adopted a trading name of Enterprise Solutions Northamptonshire to reflect our wider involvement with all social enterprises, with local economic development and with standard businesses. 

In the late 1990s we expanded our services to support start-up businesses in the county and in 2007 started a service for the support of existing businesses using the brand name 'Business Support Northamptonshire' (BSN). 

Our structure

NCDA is a company limited by guarantee.  We have members and are managed by a board.
